Where your posts appear
The community feed, your public author page, topic pages - and why the Revquix Blog is a different thing you cannot post to.
Publishing a post puts it in three places at once.
The community feed
Everything the community has published, newest first.
Your author page
Your own posts, at /u/<you>/blog.
Topic pages
One page per topic, listing every post tagged with it.
Which is why topics matter more than they look: they are what puts a post in front of somebody who was not already looking for you.
The Revquix Blog is not the community feed#
Two different publications, and the distinction confuses people:

/blog is our editorial publication, written in-house and not open for submissions. It needs a
specific permission that ordinary accounts do not have, so you will not find a way to post to it.
That is not a ranking of the two. Community posts are indexed, appear on your public profile, and are what people find when they look you up.
Members-only posts#
A post set to members-only appears in the community feed for signed-in readers and is hidden from everyone else, including search engines. See writing a post.
Taking one down#
Archive it. It leaves the listings and your author page.
If you would rather keep a link working for people who already have it - somebody who cited it, say
- set it to unlisted instead, which removes it from listings while the URL keeps resolving.
