Referrals

Your invite link, where to find it, and what happens when somebody signs up through it.

View as .md

Under Account → Referrals, you have a personal invite link.

How it works#

  1. Share your link. It is yours permanently.
  2. Somebody signs up through it. The referral is attributed to you at that point.
  3. You are both credited, on the terms shown in the panel.

Attribution#

Attribution happens at signup. Somebody who creates an account and then hears about your link cannot be attributed retrospectively - there is no way to prove the connection after the fact.

A newer link wins over an older one if somebody arrives through two, so the last one they clicked is the one that counts.

The binding version#

What counts as a valid referral, and the conduct that voids one, is set out in the credits and referrals terms.

Sharing it well#

  • Somewhere it is relevant. A link in a reply to a person asking about mock interviews converts; the same link in a bio does not.
  • With what it is for. "Sign up here" is a link nobody clicks. "This is where I do my mock interviews" is a recommendation.
