Ordering your profile

Which section comes first, which are shown at all, and pinning the reviews you want read - the fastest way to change how your profile lands.

View as .md

Two controls change how your profile reads without you writing a word: what order the sections come in, and which ones appear at all.

Section order#

Drag to reorder. The order in the editor is the order on the page.

There is no correct order, only an order that suits what you want from the page. If you are job-hunting and mentoring at once, decide which of the two the profile is for - trying to serve both equally usually serves neither.

Turning sections off#

Each showcase section has a toggle. Off, it does not render and a visitor cannot tell it exists.

Worth using when:

  • A section is thin. Two skills and one project reads worse than no section.
  • You are mid-rewrite. Edits are live, so hiding a section is how you work on it privately.
  • It is not the story. A mentor whose code projects are experiments may not want them second.

Pinned reviews#

If you have reviews, you can pin the ones you want read first rather than letting the newest lead.

Page order#

Where your profile has sub-pages - projects, services, posts - you can control the order those appear in too.
