Free Online Compiler
Press Run to execute your code. Anything you type in Input is sent to the program as standard input.
Which languages and versions does it run?
6languages, each on a pinned runtime on Revquix's own servers. The version below is the one your code runs on today, read from the runner itself.
| Language | Runtime | Good for | Reads input |
|---|---|---|---|
| Java | Java 21.0.12 | Interview and DSA practice in modern Java, records and all | Yes, standard input |
| Python | Python 3.12.0 | Quick scripts, algorithms and learning to code | Yes, standard input |
| C++ | C++20, gcc 14.3.0 | DSA and competitive programming with the C++17 standard library | Yes, standard input |
| JavaScript | Node.js 20.11.1 | Algorithms and language practice on Node.js (no browser page) | Yes, standard input |
| TypeScript | TypeScript 5.0.3 | Typed JavaScript, compiled before it runs | Yes, standard input |
| SQL | SQLite 3.36.0 | Practising queries: create tables, insert rows, then SELECT and JOIN | No, the query is the input |
What are the limits?
Every run goes through the same sandbox as Revquix Projects and Practice, so the ceilings are the same everywhere. An infinite loop ends as a timeout rather than hanging the page.
| Time per run | 5 seconds |
|---|---|
| Time to compile | 10 seconds |
| Source code | 64 KB |
| Standard input | 16 KB |
| Output | 64 KB (a program that prints more is stopped, not trimmed) |
| Runs a day, signed out | 30 |
| Runs a day, signed in | 200 (shared with Projects and Practice) |
| Network access | None |
Share code with a link
Share turns what is in the editor into a link that carries the code, the language and your input. Anyone who opens it can read it, run it, or fork it into their own playground.
| Signed out | Signed in | |
|---|---|---|
| The link lasts | 90 days | Never expires |
| Links a day | 50 | 200 |
For interview prep and practice
Rehearse a coding round
Interview questions read from standard input, and so does every language here except SQL. Paste a test case into the Input panel and run it the way a judge would.
Get a judge
Practice problems run on the same sandbox and check your answer against sample and hidden test cases.
Outgrow one file
Revquix Projects adds more than one file, tests, GitHub push and Revquix AI. When you want a person watching, book a mock interview with a mentor.
Online compiler questions
Is the Revquix online compiler free?
Yes. Running code costs nothing and needs no account. There is a daily allowance of 30 runs signed out and 200 signed in, shared with Revquix Projects and Practice.
Do I need an account to run code?
No. Open the page and press Run; you may be asked to complete a quick "are you human" check first. Signing in raises the allowance to 200 runs a day, makes your share links permanent and keeps a copy of your code on your account for other devices.
Which Java version does it run?
Java 21.0.12, compiled with javac before it runs. The file is Main.java, but the class name is not enforced, so a public class called Solution runs too.
Can my program read input?
Yes, in every language except SQL. Whatever you type in the Input panel is piped to your program's standard input, up to 16 KB. SQL has no standard input: the query itself is the input, so the panel is not shown for it.
Which SQL dialect does it use?
SQLite 3.36.0. It is not MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle, so syntax specific to those will not run. Each run starts with an empty database, so create and fill your tables in the same script as your query.
Is there a time limit?
Yes. A run gets 5 seconds and compiling gets 10 seconds, so an infinite loop ends as a timeout. Source code is capped at 64 KB and output at 64 KB; a program that prints more is stopped, not trimmed.
Can I save or share my code?
Your code is kept in your browser as you type, per language, and signed in a copy is kept on your account too. Share turns the editor into a link carrying the code, the language and your input: it lasts 90 days if you are signed out and never expires if you are signed in.
Does the online compiler have AI?
No. The playground has no AI. Revquix Projects, the multi-file editor, has Revquix AI to explain an error or review your code, and it uses credits.
Can I install packages or call an API?
No. The sandbox has no network access, so a program cannot download a package or reach anything outside its own process. Write against the language's standard library.
Is it good for interview practice?
Yes. Interview and practice questions read from standard input almost without exception, and every language here except SQL supports it. When you want a judge that checks your answer against test cases, use Practice problems; when you need more than one file, use Projects.
