# Where your posts appear

> The community feed, your public author page, topic pages - and why the Revquix Blog is a different thing you cannot post to.

Publishing a post puts it in three places at once.

- [The community feed](https://www.revquix.com/community) - Everything the community has published, newest first.

- [Your author page](https://www.revquix.com/docs/account/your-public-profile) - Your own posts, at `/u/<you>/blog`.

- [Topic pages](https://www.revquix.com/community) - One page per topic, listing every post tagged with it.

Which is why topics matter more than they look: they are what puts a post in front of somebody who
was not already looking for you.

## The Revquix Blog is not the community feed

Two different publications, and the distinction confuses people:

`/blog` is our editorial publication, written in-house and not open for submissions. It needs a
specific permission that ordinary accounts do not have, so you will not find a way to post to it.

**That is not a ranking of the two.** Community posts are indexed, appear on your public profile,
and are what people find when they look you up.

## Members-only posts

A post set to members-only appears in the community feed for signed-in readers and is hidden from
everyone else, including search engines. See [writing a post](https://www.revquix.com/docs/writing/writing-a-post).

## Taking one down

Archive it. It leaves the listings and your author page.

If you would rather keep a link working for people who already have it - somebody who cited it, say

- set it to unlisted instead, which removes it from listings while the URL keeps resolving.
