Series
Grouping your posts into numbered chapters, adding them in any order, and where readers find a series.
A series is an ordered set of your posts on one subject - a ten-session Java course, a four-part walkthrough, a weekly log. Each post in it is a chapter.
Manage yours from My series.
Series or topics?#
They do different jobs and a post can have both.

A post about binary search belongs in the Algorithms topic. Part 3 of your DSA walkthrough belongs in a series. Most posts want topics; only a genuine sequence wants a series.
Adding a post to a series#

Open the post in the editor and click Settings.

Under Series, pick one of your series, or choose + New series and type a title.

Choose where the post goes: at the start, after a particular chapter, or at the end.

Optionally give it a chapter label, a short heading shown beside the chapter number.

Click Save changes.
You can also add posts from the series itself: open it in My series and use Add a post.
A post belongs to one series at a time. Picking a different series in Settings moves it.
Writing out of order#
Drafts and scheduled posts can join a series. They hold their place but stay invisible to readers until they are published, so you can set up the whole structure first, or write chapter 5 before chapter 1.
If your titles already carry the order (Session 1, Session 5), you may prefer to turn numbers off: open the series in My series and set Numbering to No numbers. Readers then see your titles in your order, with no "Chapter N".
Reordering#
Open the series in My series and drag a chapter by its handle. On a phone, or from the keyboard, use Reorder chapters above the list and move chapters up or down one step at a time.
Reordering never changes a post's link. Only the chapter numbers and the previous and next links move.
Ongoing or complete#
Each series shows readers an Ongoing or Complete badge. Set it in My series. A complete series still accepts new chapters; the badge only tells readers what to expect.
What a reader gets#
- A series page with every published chapter in order and a Start reading button.
- Inside each chapter, a banner such as "Chapter 3 of 8" with the full chapter list one click away, and previous and next chapter links at the end of the post.
- A chip on post cards across the community feed, so a reader who lands on chapter 3 knows there is more.
Readers also find series on the Series tab of the community page, and on your profile.
Your profile#
Your series appear on your profile and at the top of your blog page. To choose which come first, pin up to three: switch on Pin to profile in the series, or use the Writing section of your profile editor.
Deleting a series#
Deleting a series does not delete its posts. They leave the series and stay published exactly as they were, just without the chapter banner and navigation, and they are free to join another series.
