Deleting your account

If you want to leave Revquix and close your account for good, this is how. Deletion is deliberate, reversible for a while, and then final.

It is scheduled, not instant#

Requesting deletion schedules it. Your account is then removed after a 14-day grace period.

Confirming requires a code, and that code is short-lived - if you leave the confirmation sitting for a while, ask for a fresh one.

What has to be settled first#

Deletion is refused while you have an active order in progress. That is not obstruction: an order in flight has a counterparty, money and possibly a session still to happen, and deleting the account mid-way would leave the other person with no route to a resolution.

Let the order complete, or cancel it, and try again.

What deletion actually does#

• Your public profile stops resolving - the URL 404s.
• Your content is removed from where it was published.
• Your username is not released. Nobody else can take it, and neither can you if you come back.

Things that are not deletion#

• Wanting to disappear from search - that is profile visibility.
• Wanting your profile empty - turn sections off, see ordering your profile.
• Wanting to stop the email - that is notification preferences in preferences.

Each of those is reversible and deletion is not, so it is worth being sure which one you actually want.
