Improving with AI
Four assists in the Improve room - what each one does, what it costs, and why every change is shown as a diff before it touches your resume.
The Improve room has four assists. All of them read your resume; none of them change it without showing you exactly what would change.
The four#
| Assist | What it does |
|---|---|
| Impact Interview | Asks you questions about a role, then drafts bullets from your answers. |
| Sharpen bullets | Rewrites bullets you already have, tighter and more specific. |
| Summary from evidence | Writes a summary out of what is already in your resume, not out of adjectives. |
| Tailor to a job | Adjusts emphasis for a specific job description. |
Every change is a diff#
An assist never edits in place. You are shown the current text beside the suggestion and you accept or reject, per change - not the whole batch.
Consent, and what is sent#
The first use asks for consent, because using an assist sends your resume text to a model. Your resume already lives in your account; this is about it leaving for processing.
Decline and the builder keeps working exactly as before, minus these four buttons.
Cost#
Assists are charged in credits and quoted before they run. The builder itself remains free - see the Resume Builder for the full free-versus-paid map, and credits for where credits come from.
Two related tools do the same jobs outside the builder: Bullet Rewriter at 1 credit and Cover Letter Generator at 1 credit.
What it will not do#
- Invent experience. It works from what is in the document and what you tell it.
- Guarantee an interview. It improves how clearly your case is made; it cannot change the case.
