What it is judging#
Not whether the file parses - that is the ATS check, and it is free daily. This is a judgement about content: whether your bullets make a case, whether your summary says anything, whether the evidence supports the claims.
The report#
Three things, and the score is the least useful of them:
- A score out of 100, built from eight weighted dimensions. It is arithmetic, not a model's impression - how your score is calculated publishes the exact weights.
- Findings, graded and grouped, each saying what was seen and what to do - reading your findings.
- Suggested rewrites for the bullets costing you the most.
Scored for your stage, not against everyone#
A fresher and a director are read for different things, so they are weighted differently - skill evidence matters most early, career scope matters most late. The profile is picked from the dated employment in your resume, and it shifts what is weighted rather than what is achievable.
⚠ One thing can override everything: if your resume cannot be parsed, the score is capped at 55 no matter how good the writing is. Both are explained in how your score is calculated.
What it cannot see#
- Whether your claims are true. It reads what you wrote.
- Whether you are right for a specific job. That is JD ↔ Resume Match - a different question with a different tool.
- Your market. Conventions differ by country and industry; the score reflects broadly applicable practice.
Using it well#
- Run it once you have a full draft, not on a skeleton. A half-written resume scores badly for reasons you already know.
- Fix the top deductions, which are ordered by impact.
- Re-run when you have made real changes - not after every edit. It costs credits each time, and a score does not move meaningfully on one reworded bullet.
