Paged mode and PDF
Turning a board into a column of real sheets - the three paper sizes, why pages have a gap, and the one question the switch asks before it moves your drawing.
By default a board is an endless canvas. Paged mode turns it into a document: a single vertical column of real sheets, with the camera held to that column, exported as a proper multi-page PDF.
Use it when the diagram is going to be printed or handed over as a document. Leave it off when you are thinking.
Paper#

Each can be portrait or landscape, and margins are narrow (½ in), normal (1 in) or wide (1½ in).
The gap between sheets is real space#
Pages are separated by a visible gap, and that gap belongs to neither page. It is not decoration.
Turning it on#
Switching a board that already has a drawing on it is the only direction that touches your work, so it asks first.
You get a preview of how the content will land, and one option: scale it to fit the page width.
Turning paged mode off returns the board to a free canvas and does not move anything.
Exporting the PDF#
With paged mode on, the export menu offers PDF - one PDF page per sheet, in order, at the size you picked.
What is on the sheet is what is in the file. The margins are guides for you rather than a crop, so anything drawn into a margin still prints.
