Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: June 28, 2026 | Last Updated: September 13, 2026
This policy explains cancellations and refunds for purchases made on the Revquix Platform. Refunds are issued to your original payment method through whichever processor took the payment - Razorpay for charges in INR, PayPalfor charges in USD. Where a session or service is delivered by an independent mentor or reviewer, Revquix processes the refund according to the rules below and adjusts the provider's payout and our platform fee accordingly.
1. The one rule that governs everything else
The terms that apply to your purchase are fixed at the moment you pay. They are shown to you at checkout and recorded against that booking or order, so a later change to the tables on this page cannot reach a purchase you have already made, and a provider cannot tighten their terms after the fact. The tables below are the terms currently in force for new purchases.
For most marketplace purchases the eligible refund is calculated automatically from how far in advance you cancel - so the amount you see at cancellation is the amount you receive.
2. Sessions: cancelling before the start time
Which table applies depends on what you booked. Your booking says which, and the tiers it was sold under are shown at checkout and on the booking itself.
2.1 Mock interviews
| Cancel before start | Refund |
|---|---|
| 24 hours or more | 90% |
| 12 – 24 hours | 70% |
| 6 – 12 hours | 50% |
| Less than 6 hours / no-show | 0% |
2.2 1:1 calls (current)
This is the ladder for a 1:1 call booked from a mentor's current services - the great majority of calls booked today.
| Cancel before start | Refund |
|---|---|
| 24 hours or more | 90% |
| 12 – 24 hours | 70% |
| 6 – 12 hours | 50% |
| Less than 6 hours / no-show | 0% |
The top tier is 90%, not 100%: a slot you reserved was unavailable to everyone else for as long as you held it, and that cost is real even when you cancel early.
2.3 Hourly sessions (earlier bookings)
This ladder governs hourly-session bookings made on our earlier mentorship product. If you hold one of those bookings, these are the tiers it was sold under and these are the tiers that apply to it.
| Cancel before start | Refund |
|---|---|
| 24 hours or more | 100% |
| 12 – 24 hours | 75% |
| 4 – 12 hours | 50% |
| Less than 4 hours / no-show | 0% |
3. Moving a session instead of cancelling it
Where your booking allows rescheduling, moving it is almost always better than cancelling into a lower tier. The notice required and the number of moves you get are fixed on your booking at purchase and shown on it, along with how many moves you have left.
A mentor moving the session does not use up your allowance.Mentor-initiated moves are counted separately, so a session shifted twice by your mentor leaves your own reschedules intact. If a mentor moves a session to a time that does not work for you, contact us - you are not expected to absorb someone else's change by cancelling into a penalty tier.
4. Session packages
A package is several sessions with one mentor, bought together and redeemed one at a time. It has no single start time, so the countdown ladders in Section 2 do not apply to it. These rules do instead.
4.1 Cancelling a package - and the point after which you cannot
A package with no sessions redeemed can be cancelled for a full refund, at any time.
Once you redeem even one session, the package can no longer be cancelled as a whole. A session that has happened cannot be handed back, and we do not unwind the rest of the package around it. What you keep instead:
- The sessions you have not used stay yours to book until the package expires.
- A session you have scheduled but not yet had can still be cancelled from its own booking, under the ladder in Section 2. Cancelling it returns the session to your package; it does not refund it as money.
- The day-14 refund in Section 4.3 still applies. The lock in this section is about you changing your mind; it is not a way for a mentor to keep money by going quiet after your first session. If your mentor stops making time available, your unused sessions become refundable however many you have already taken.
4.2 Your validity period pauses when your mentor has no time available
Every package carries a validity period, shown before you buy and capped at 180 days. For each day on which your mentor publishes no bookable slot for the service your package covers, your expiry date moves out by a day. We check this against the real availability calendar every night, not against anything the mentor tells us. You cannot lose time to a mentor who has stopped offering appointments.
4.3 If those days add up, we act on your behalf automatically
The same days are counted against the mentor, across the life of your package, and cross three thresholds:
| Days with no availability | What happens |
|---|---|
| 3 | We prompt the mentor to open time for you. |
| 7 | We pause new sales of that service and record the failure against the mentor's reliability. |
| 14 | You get a one-click refund of every session you have not used, at full value. |
The day-14 refund is yours to take, not ours to grant. It executes when you press the button on the package: there is no admin queue, no negotiation and no partial offer, and the amount is the full per-session value of everything you have not redeemed. You do not have to wait for the package to expire to take it. None of this requires you to notice anything - we email you when it becomes available.
4.4 What happens to unused sessions when a package expires
It depends on why they went unused, and we tell you which applies.
- If your mentor kept time available throughout and you simply did not book, the unused sessions lapse at expiry and the mentor keeps that portion. The time was reserved for you and not sold to anyone else. This is the most consumer-adverse term on this page and we would rather you read it here than discover it: if you are not going to use a package, cancel it or use it before it expires.
- If any day was recorded against your mentor under Section 4.2 - even one - the unused value is treated as yours and refunded, whatever the rule above would have said. Fault decides this, not the calendar.
We send expiry reminders 14, 7 and 2 days ahead. They are a courtesy, not a condition: the rules above apply whether or not a reminder reaches you.
4.5 A discount is carried for the life of the package
Where a coupon was applied, the discounted amount is what gets divided across the sessions. Every figure you see afterwards - per-session value, refunds, the day-14 amount - is calculated from that discounted value, not from the list price.
5. Offers & service orders
For offer / service orders, refunds are based on the time remaining before the delivery (SLA) deadline:
| Cancel before delivery deadline | Refund |
|---|---|
| 72 hours or more | 100% |
| 48 – 72 hours | 75% |
| 24 – 48 hours | 50% |
| Less than 24 hours | 25% |
6. Mentor no-show, failed sessions & platform cancellations
If the mentor or reviewer does not show up, the session/order is cancelled by Revquix, or a dispute is resolved in your favour, you receive a 100% refund regardless of the tiers above. The same applies if a booking never receives a working meeting link.
A mentor who joins a few minutes late has attended. A short grace period applies before lateness is treated as absence, because the alternative refunds sessions that actually happened.
7. The buyer platform fee
The buyer platform fee charged on top of the provider's price (see our Terms of Service, Section 17) is refunded in the same proportionas the purchase itself: a 50% refund returns 50% of the fee, and a full refund returns all of it. A “full refund” on this page always means the fee too.
8. Credits
Credits are not money and are not refundable as money. Two specific situations:
- If a credit purchase is refunded, the credits go back with it. They are removed from your balance when the money is returned. If you have already spent some of them, your balance can go negative, and you will need to clear it before spending again. We do not refund a purchase and let you keep what it bought.
- Credits spent on a tool run are spent. A tool that fails or errors before producing a result does not consume your credits; a result you did not like is not a failure. If something charged you and gave you nothing, tell us and we will correct the balance.
The rest of the credit rules - including what happens to a balance when an account closes - are in Credits & Referrals.
9. Disputes
If you believe a session or order was not delivered as expected, you may raise a dispute from your dashboard. The deadlines are:
| Stage | Deadline |
|---|---|
| Raising a dispute, after the booking closes | 14 days |
| Our first response | 24 hours |
| Our decision (target) | 72 hours |
| Appealing a decision | 72 hours, one reopen |
We review the attendance record, the join ledger and any evidence either party provides, and the mentor's payout for that session is held while the dispute is open. The outcome may include a full or partial refund and a payout adjustment. Our decision is final for the purpose of refunds and payouts; formal dispute resolution is otherwise governed by our Terms of Service, and nothing here removes any right you have to take a complaint to a consumer forum.
10. How refunds are processed
- Eligible refunds for marketplace bookings and orders are calculated automatically from your cancellation time, and the amount is shown to you before you confirm.
- Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method and usually arrive within 5–7 working days. The exact timing is set by your bank, card issuer or PayPal, not by us.
- Where a refund affects a mentor's payout, the provider's payout and our platform fee are adjusted to reflect the refunded amount.
- Amounts already paid to third parties on your behalf are non-refundable.
11.1 If the payment provider refuses a refund
Occasionally a gateway declines a refund for reasons on its side. When that happens your purchase is left exactly as it was - not cancelled with money owed to you - and the cancellation is retried in full, several times over the following day. It completes only when the money actually moves. We do this rather than cancelling immediately because the alternative hands you a cancelled purchase and an IOU, and leaves you with neither if the payment never goes through.
While a retry is queued on a package, you cannot redeem a session from it. Redeeming would make the cancellation impossible and destroy the refund you asked for. If the retries are exhausted, the refund is escalated to a person, and you keep both the purchase and your claim in the meantime.
11. Changes to this policy
Revquix may modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this page; the “Last Updated” date will reflect them. Bookings and orders already made are governed by the terms recorded on them at purchase (Section 1), not by a later version of this page.
