Mentor Code of Conduct
Effective Date: June 11, 2026 | Last Updated: September 13, 2026
This Mentor Code of Conduct (“Code”) applies to all individuals who have been granted the Professional Mentor role on the Revquix platform. It supplements the Revquix Terms of Service and Refund Policy. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service takes precedence. The Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy apply to you as they do to every member, including in what you write on your profile, in articles and in comments.
You agree to this Code when you apply to become a mentor, and it binds you from the day your application is approved. This Code governs your conduct across all mentor-related activities: profile representation, availability, session delivery, feedback submission, package obligations, coupon and payment practices, and communication with learners.
1. Eligibility & Profile Integrity
1.1 Application Honesty
All information submitted during the mentor application must be accurate, current, and complete. Your professional headline, bio, LinkedIn profile, work experience, years of experience, and listed skills must reflect your genuine credentials at the time of application and remain truthful thereafter. Submitting false information is grounds for immediate permanent rejection or revocation of mentor status.
1.2 Ongoing Profile Accuracy
You are responsible for keeping your mentor profile up to date. If your current role, company, or skillset changes significantly, you must update your profile within 30 days. Your public bio must not contain misleading claims about certifications, past employers, or results you guarantee for learners. Categories and skills must accurately represent areas in which you are competent to conduct sessions.
1.3 Pricing Transparency
Prices you set for your services - 1:1 calls, mock interviews and session packages - must reflect the genuine value of the service you intend to deliver. You may not set prices with the intent to attract bookings and then cancel them. Price changes take effect only for new bookings; existing confirmed bookings are honored at the price at the time of booking.
2. Availability Obligations
2.1 Good-Faith Availability
Your calendar is made of recurring weekly hours and the times you block out of them, and every start time inside it is bookable. Publish only time you genuinely intend to honor. Publishing availability you do not mean to keep, solely to achieve higher search visibility, is a violation of this Code. Your calendar runs in the timezone set on your account - scheduling errors caused by an incorrect timezone are your responsibility.
2.2 Cancelling Booked Sessions
Cancelling several booked sessions at once is permitted only for genuine emergencies (e.g., personal illness, family emergency) or with reasonable advance notice (minimum 72 hours before the first of them). Repeated cancellations without legitimate cause will result in a warning and potential suspension. When cancelling a booked session, you should, where possible, tell the affected learner the reason through the booking's Messages thread.
2.3 Booking Notice Period
Your notice period, set in your mentorship settings, is the shortest lead time a learner can book you with. It is 4 hours unless you change it. Set one that leaves you, and the learner, enough time to prepare.
3. Session Delivery Standards
3.1 Preparation
Before every session, you must review everything the learner submitted with the booking, including their stated goals and any notes or documents they provided. For mock interviews, you are expected to prepare questions appropriate to the learner's experience level and focus areas. For 1:1 calls, you must familiarize yourself with the topic the learner raised.
3.2 Where Sessions Happen
Every session is held in a Revquix-hosted Google Meet room that we create for the booking. You do not supply a link, and you may not substitute your own. The booking shows a control to change the link until joining opens: use it only when the room we created is missing or not working. Replacing a working Revquix room with a link of your own is a violation of this section. (Bookings made before Revquix-hosted rooms became the only option may still use the link supplied at the time.)
A booking must have a working link before it starts. If one is still missing about 30 minutes before the start, the booking is cancelled automatically and the learner is refunded in full. We warn you 6 hours and 2 hours before that happens. The cancellation is recorded as a late cancellation by you.
Join through the Join button on the booking. It records your join. We also use Meet's own participant records, but only where they can be matched to your account, so the Join button is the record that is always there when a dispute is decided. Reaching the room another way - forwarding the URL to yourself, or a different Google account - can leave you recorded as absent on a session you actually attended, and the record is what we have.
Moving a booked session to a location outside Revquix, or asking a learner to meet you somewhere else, is a conduct violation regardless of whether the session then happens: it removes the attendance evidence that protects both of you.
3.3 Timing & Duration
- The room opens 10 minutes before the scheduled start and closes at the scheduled end. A session cannot run past its end time, so any time lost to a late start is lost to the learner.
- Be in the room at the scheduled start. A join at any point before the scheduled end is recorded as attendance, so lateness will not show as a no-show - but repeated or significant lateness is a conduct concern under Section 14.
- Duration:every 1:1 call and mock interview runs for the duration you set on the service. You must honor the full booked duration. Ending materially earlier without the learner's agreement is a violation and may be subject to a dispute.
3.4 Professional Conduct During Sessions
- You must conduct yourself in a professional, respectful, and constructive manner at all times. Constructive criticism is expected; demeaning or discouraging language is not tolerated.
- You must not discuss, solicit, or encourage off-platform payment arrangements during or after sessions.
- Where you need a document or information from a learner after checkout - a resume, a job description, a link to their work - you must request and receive it through the booking's Messages thread. Files sent there remain covered by the refund and dispute protection attached to the order; a document exchanged over a personal channel is not, and asking a learner to send one that way is a violation of this section even where no payment is involved.
- You must not record sessions without the learner's explicit prior consent.
- You must not share any information disclosed by the learner (target company, current employer, resume content, career goals) with third parties.
4. Feedback Obligations
4.1 Mandatory Submission
A feedback report after a completed mock interview is mandatory, not optional. It is due within the feedback deadline set on the service (between 1 and 48 hours; 24 hours unless you change it), counted from when the booking completes. If the deadline passes without a report, a system dispute is raised against you automatically, the payout for that booking is held, and the missed deadline is recorded on your mentor record.
4.2 Quality Standards
A mock interview report scores eight dimensions from 1 to 10 (Communication, Confidence, Technical Accuracy, Problem Solving, Clarity of Thought, Body Language, Time Management, Question Understanding) and records strengths, improvement areas, a summary and an overall rating. You must complete it honestly and with sufficient detail to be genuinely useful to the learner. Superficial or placeholder feedback (e.g., “good session”, single-word entries, generic copy-pasted text) is a violation of this Code.
4.3 1:1 Calls
A 1:1 call carries no mandatory feedback report. Anything you promised the learner during the call, such as notes, resources or a follow-up answer, belongs in the booking's Messages thread and must be as thoughtful and specific as the call itself.
5. Attendance & No-Show Policy
5.1 How Attendance Is Decided
Fifteen minutes after a session's scheduled end, the attendance record decides what happens next:
- You and the learner both joined: the booking completes. Nobody is asked anything.
- The learner joined and you did not: a mentor no-show dispute is opened automatically and the payout is held.
- Only you joined: the learner is asked to confirm whether the session took place.
- Otherwise: both of you are asked.
One confirmation completes the booking, and a booking nobody answers for completes automatically 24 hours later unless a dispute is open. When you are asked, you must respond honestly. Confirming that a session occurred when it did not, in order to avoid a no-show record, constitutes fraud and is grounds for permanent ban.
5.2 Mentor No-Show Consequences
A no-show decided against you refunds the learner in full - or, for a package session, returns the session to their package - and generates no payout. It is recorded against your reliability score (Section 13), and Revquix may apply the following escalating consequences:
- First occurrence: Formal warning.
- Second occurrence: Temporary suspension from accepting new bookings.
- Repeated occurrences or egregious cases: Permanent revocation of mentor status.
5.3 Emergencies
If a genuine emergency prevents you from attending, contact Revquix support at [email protected]as soon as possible - ideally before the session start time. Documented emergencies may be treated with leniency at Revquix's discretion.
5.4 Dispute Participation
If a learner raises an attendance dispute, you are expected to respond truthfully within the timeframe specified in the dispute notification. A dispute you do not answer is decided on the learner's evidence and the attendance record. Where that record shows the learner joined and you did not, an unanswered no-show dispute is decided against you automatically, 24 hours after it opens.
6. Cancellation Policy for Mentors
6.1 Cancelling a Confirmed Booking
You can cancel a confirmed booking up until its start time. Cancelling triggers a full refundto the learner regardless of how close the cancellation is to the session time, no payout is generated, and a package session goes back into the learner's package.
6.2 Late Cancellations
Cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled session start time is a late cancellation and is a serious conduct concern. A late cancellation rate above 20% over any rolling 90-day period may result in a formal warning or suspension.
6.3 Repeated Cancellations
More than 3 cancellations within any rolling 30-day period requires a formal explanation to Revquix. Revquix reserves the right to suspend your services from new bookings if cancellation patterns suggest misuse.
7. Session Packages
A package is several sessions sold together and redeemed one at a time. Because the learner has already paid for all of them, your obligation runs for the whole validity period, not just until the first session. The platform measures whether you meet it, automatically, every night.
7.1 Keep Time Open for the Whole Validity Period
For every day the service a live package covers has no bookable start time, the learner's expiry date moves out by a day - they cannot lose time to a mentor who has stopped offering appointments. This is checked against your real availability calendar, in your timezone, never against a self-report. A day on which every bookable time was already taken counts as a day without availability, and so does a day on which you have no calendar at all.
7.2 The Escalation Ladder
Days without availability are counted as a run. The run ends, and the count starts again from zero, on the first day you offer bookable time again. A run that keeps going crosses three thresholds:
| Days in a row with no availability | Consequence |
|---|---|
| 3 | You are prompted to open time. |
| 7 | The service is paused from new sales, and it stays paused until you resume it yourself. |
| 14 | The learner can refund every unused session in one click, for the value they paid for it. You are not consulted and there is no negotiation, and the refund stays available for the rest of the package even if you open time afterwards. |
Nothing here requires the learner to complain. Selling a package and then going quiet is not a passive outcome on this platform - it is a measured one.
7.3 What You Keep at Expiry
When a package expires with sessions unused, the outcome depends on the record over the whole life of the package:
- Fewer than 3 days without availability were recorded and the learner did not book - the unused portion is released to you. You held that capacity and did not sell it to anyone else.
- 3 or more days without availability were recorded under Section 7.1 - whether or not they were in a row - the unused value is refunded to the learner instead, whatever the general rule would have said.
Do not treat the first outcome as a business model. Opening a package and letting it lapse is the pattern this ladder exists to catch, and Section 14 applies to it.
7.4 A Coupon Is Frozen Into the Package
Where a learner used a discount code, your earnings for the package - after the discount and after our commission - are divided across its sessions in proportion to each session's standalone price, and each redemption pays you that session's share for the life of the package. Price a package coupon on that basis, not on the list price.
8. Messaging with Learners
You and each learner share one Messages thread, and every message in it is tied to a booking. It is the compliant channel for anything you need from a learner after checkout. It stays open while any booking between you is active or a dispute is open, and for 14 daysafter the latest of a completed session, a package's expiry or a dispute's resolution. After that it becomes read-only; the history remains.
- Request documents there, not anywhere else. A resume, job description or work sample sent through the thread stays covered by the refund and dispute protection attached to the order. One sent over a personal channel does not, and asking for it that way is a violation of Section 3.4 even where no payment is involved.
- Attachments are limited in size and type per file, per message and per thread, and a file over a limit is refused. Do not use a thread as file storage or as a way to move large files.
- Messages are checked for off-platform solicitation. UPI handles, payment links and links to outside booking tools are blocked outright, as are messages proposing to take a booking or a payment off Revquix. Phone numbers and email addresses are flagged, and repeated flags lead to a review of your account. Attempting to route a payment through the thread is a Section 9.1 violation, and the block is not the penalty.
- The same professional standard applies here as in a session. A thread is a written record. Revquix can read it, including when a dispute is raised, and every such access is logged. Conduct in it is treated exactly as conduct in a call.
- Do not use the thread to solicit a review, to press for a particular rating, or to make anything you owe the learner conditional on one.
9. Payment Conduct & Prohibited Practices
9.1 Platform-Exclusive Transactions
All payments for Revquix mentor sessions must be made exclusively through the Revquix platform. Soliciting or accepting off-platform payments - whether via UPI, bank transfer, third-party apps, or cash - for services listed on Revquix is a Category 1 violation and grounds for immediate permanent ban.
9.2 Coupon Integrity
Coupons you create must be for the genuine purpose of offering learner discounts. Creating coupons to circumvent platform commission structures, coordinate with colluding accounts, or engage in fraudulent discount schemes is prohibited. Revquix reserves the right to deactivate suspicious coupons and withhold payouts pending investigation.
Know what a coupon costs you before you create one. A discount is applied to your price before our commission is calculated, so the discount comes out of your earnings and our own share shrinks along with it. We do not reimburse you for it. On our standard 10% commission a ₹900 discount costs you ₹810 and reduces our commission by ₹90.
This is equally true of promotional codes Revquix issues. A platform-wide code applied to your service reduces your earnings in exactly the same way as a code you created yourself. We say so here rather than leave you to find it in a payout: your service editor shows the discounted figure beside the full-price one before you publish, and the coupon dialog prices it against a real service as you type.
9.3 Payout Account Accuracy
You must register accurate bank account or UPI details in your payout settings. Providing fraudulent banking information is a serious offense and may be referred to law enforcement. Revquix is not liable for failed payouts caused by inaccurate details you provide.
9.4 How Payouts Are Released
Revquix releases a payout after the booking's dispute window (Section 10.2) has passed. Revquix may hold a payout, or adjust its amount with a stated reason, where a dispute, a refund or a suspected breach of this Code requires it. Where a refund reduces your payout (Section 10.1), the reduction applies when the refund completes. Taxes on your earnings are your responsibility, as the Terms of Service set out.
10. Refunds & Dispute Resolution
10.1 Learner-Initiated Cancellations
When a learner cancels, the refund is determined by the tiered refund policy recorded on that booking at purchase, based on how far ahead of the session they cancel. Your payout is reduced in the same proportion as the refund, not cancelled outright: if the learner receives 50% back, you keep 50% of your net; if they cancel inside the final tier and receive nothing, you keep the whole payout, because the time was held for them and could not be sold to anyone else.
The exception is a cancellation caused by you (Section 6.1) or decided against you in a dispute, where no payout is generated at all.
10.2 Session Disputes & Payout Holds
When an attendance dispute is raised, the associated payout for that session is placed on hold pending resolution by Revquix. If a dispute resolves as a mentor no-show, the learner is refunded and no payout is made to you. If a dispute resolves as completed, your payout is released and processed normally. If neither of you attended, there is neither a refund nor a payout.
The deadlines are the same for both sides:
| Stage | Deadline |
|---|---|
| A dispute may be raised, after the booking closes | 14 days |
| Our first response | 24 hours |
| Our decision (target) | 72 hours |
| Appealing a decision | 72 hours, one reopen |
Respond inside the window.A dispute you do not answer is decided without your side of it (Section 5.4), on the learner's evidence and the attendance record alone. Some clear-cut cases are decided mechanically rather than by a person - a session both parties were demonstrably present in together completes in your favour without either of you doing anything. Joining late, at any point before the scheduled end, is attendance, not absence.
10.3 Feedback Dispute Impact
If you submit a late mock interview report within 24 hours of its deadline, the payout for that booking is released automatically once the dispute's first-response window has passed. A report later than that is reviewed by Revquix before any payout is released. Either way, the late submission stays on your mentor record and may affect your platform standing.
10.4 Appeals & Escalation
If you believe a dispute resolution was incorrect, appeal it from the dispute itself, within 72 hours of the decision. A resolved dispute may be reopened once; after that the decision stands and is final for the purpose of refunds and payouts. Do not wait past that window - it closes automatically and email cannot reopen it.
For anything the appeal flow cannot address - a decision you believe was procedurally wrong, or a payout problem that is not a dispute - write to [email protected]. Enforcement decisions under Section 14 have their own, separate appeal route in Section 14.3.
11. Confidentiality & Learner Data
During sessions you will access personal and professional information about learners - including name, target companies, current employer, resume, career goals, and session notes. You must:
- Use this data solely for preparing and conducting the session.
- Not share learner information with any third party under any circumstances.
- Not publish, post, or discuss specific learner session content on social media, blogs, or any other public platform without the learner's explicit written consent.
- Not share your mentor dashboard analytics, booking data, or payout history externally.
12. Professional Standards & Non-Solicitation
12.1 Platform Representation
Your conduct, communication style, and preparedness during sessions reflect on Revquix's brand. You must not disparage Revquix, its team, or its platform during sessions or in public forums.
12.2 Non-Solicitation
You must not solicit learners to move their business off-platform for direct mentoring or coaching outside of Revquix. This obligation applies for 6 months after the last session conducted through Revquix with that learner. Violation of this clause entitles Revquix to seek appropriate legal remedies.
This restriction covers where the business goes, not whether you may stay in touch about work you have already been paid for. Follow-up questions, promised resources and anything else a learner needs after the session belong in your Messages thread with them, which stays open for as long as Section 8 describes. Continuing a conversation there is expected; moving it to a personal channel is what this clause prohibits.
12.3 Conflict of Interest
If you are a hiring manager, recruiter, or otherwise in a direct position to affect a learner's employment at their stated target company, you must disclose this to Revquix before conducting the session.
13. Your Reliability Score
Your conduct is measured as a single score out of 100. It appears on your own dashboard with a breakdown, and it is one of the signals that decide where you appear in mentor search.
13.1 What It Is Calculated From
| Factor | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Attendance | 30 | Turning up. The heaviest factor because it is entirely within your control and wastes time that cannot be given back. |
| Completion | 25 | Sessions that reach a completed state rather than being cancelled or abandoned. |
| Dispute outcomes | 20 | Disputes upheld against you - not disputes raised. Being complained about is not the same fact as being at fault, and only the second one counts. |
| Cancellation discipline | 15 | Your cancellations, with a late cancellation counting double: a cancellation two weeks out is an inconvenience, one two hours out is a ruined afternoon. |
| Feedback delivery | 10 | Mock interviews that produced the report they promised. Lowest weight because it applies to one service type. |
13.2 Bands, and When You Get a Score at All
- 90–100 Excellent · 75–89 Good · 60–74 Fair · below 60 At Risk.
- Fewer than 5 completed sessions and you have no score. Not a zero - no score, and no band. One cancellation out of one session is a 100% cancellation rate and says nothing about you, so mentor search treats an unrated mentor as a neutral midpoint rather than as a bad score. A first bad day cannot define a career here.
- A higher score ranks you higher in mentor search. Your marketplace listings are separately ranked down while you have open disputes or recorded no-shows. At Risk is the band at which we will want a conversation.
13.3 How It Is Governed
Your score is recalculated after events that affect it, when you open your dashboard, and in a full pass at least every six hours. The weights above are fixed in code, not in a configuration file, precisely so they cannot change quietly between releases - a score we cannot explain to the mentor it penalised is not one we are willing to publish. Your current score is stored with the breakdown that produced it. If you believe your score is wrong, write to [email protected] with the bookings you think are misrecorded.
14. Violations, Enforcement & Consequences
14.1 Violation Categories
Category 1 - Immediate Permanent Ban (Zero Tolerance):
- Off-platform payment solicitation or collection.
- Falsification of credentials in application or profile.
- Fraudulent payout account registration.
- False attendance confirmation (confirming a session that did not occur).
- Recording sessions without learner consent.
- Sharing learner data with third parties.
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abuse of a learner.
Category 2 - Suspension (7–30 days, escalating to permanent ban):
- Two or more no-shows within any 90-day period without documentation.
- Late cancellation rate exceeding 20% over any rolling 90 days.
- Three or more feedback-not-submitted disputes.
- Soliciting learners to engage off-platform.
- Repeatedly submitting superficial or placeholder feedback.
- A live package reaching the 14-day availability threshold in Section 7.2, or a repeated pattern of packages sold and then left without bookable time.
- Moving a booked session off the Revquix-hosted room, or routing a document or payment request outside the booking thread (Sections 3.2 and 8).
Category 3 - Formal Warning:
- Single no-show with a documented explanation.
- Single late cancellation.
- A live package reaching the 7-day auto-pause in Section 7.2 for the first time.
- Minor profile inaccuracies corrected promptly upon request.
- Delayed attendance confirmation responses.
14.2 Review Process
Revquix will notify you of an alleged violation via your registered email address. You have 7 days to respond with an explanation and supporting evidence. Revquix will communicate its decision within 10 business days of your response (or 17 days from notification if no response is received).
14.3 Appeals
Appeals against Category 2 suspensions or permanent bans may be submitted to [email protected] within 14 days of the enforcement decision. Appeals are reviewed by Revquix senior leadership and the decision is final.
14.4 Revocation Effects
Upon revocation, your mentor profile is deactivated and removed from public search. Payouts for completed sessions where no disputes are active will be processed normally. You may not reapply as a mentor if permanently banned.
15. Changes to This Code
Revquix reserves the right to modify this Code at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued operation as a mentor after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Code. If you do not agree, you may withdraw from the mentor program by contacting [email protected].
16. Governing Law
This Code is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from this Code shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India. For matters escalated beyond internal resolution, formal proceedings are governed by the dispute resolution clause of the Revquix Terms of Service.
