Cookie Policy
Effective Date: June 28, 2026 | Last Updated: October 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Revquix (“we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.revquix.com (the “Site”). Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storageand pixels. “Session” cookies clear when you close your browser; “persistent” cookies remain for a set time or until you delete them.
2. Your Choices / Consent
When you first visit, we show a consent banner. Strictly-necessary cookies are always on (the Site cannot work without them). Analytics and other non-essential cookies are off until you opt in. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer, which re-opens your preferences. For Google Analytics we implement Google Consent Mode v2, so no analytics or advertising storage is used before you consent.
3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These are essential for security, authentication, and remembering your consent choice. You cannot opt out of them.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
rv_session | Revquix | Signals an authenticated session to the interface | Up to 7 days |
rv_consent | Revquix | Stores your cookie-consent choices and the date given | ~6 months |
| Refresh-token cookie | Revquix | Maintains your logged-in session securely | Up to 7 days |
rq_anon | Revquix | A random identifier for your browser, used only to remember things you have already done while signed out - such as dismissing a site announcement, or the free tool checks you have run today. It is randomly generated, is not derived from your device, network or location, and is not used for advertising or to build a profile. | 90 days |
cf_* / Turnstile | Cloudflare | Bot and abuse protection on forms | Session / short-lived |
3.2 Functional (consent)
These remember your preferences for a more personalised experience.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
theme | Revquix | Remembers your dark/light mode preference | ~1 year |
g_state | Remembers that you dismissed the Google one-tap sign-in prompt, so it is not shown again for a while. Set by Google Identity Services, which loads only after you grant functional consent. | Up to ~1 year (set by Google) |
3.3 Analytics & performance (consent)
These help us understand how the Site is used and diagnose problems. They load only after you grant analytics consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate, privacy-safe usage statistics | Up to 2 years |
_clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Heatmaps and session replay to diagnose UX issues | Up to 1 year / session |
Microsoft Clarity may record a replay of your session (clicks, scrolls, navigation). We configure Clarity to mask text and form inputs, and recording runs only with your analytics consent. With the same consent, Sentry may capture a masked session replay to help us debug errors.
3.4 Advertising / targeting (consent)
These are only set once you explicitly opt into the “Advertising” category in your cookie preferences. Google advertising / cross-device signals and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel both remain off by default and are never loaded before you consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Identifies browsers for ad delivery, retargeting, and conversion measurement across Meta's ad network | ~90 days |
_fbc | Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Stores click information from a Meta ad click, used to attribute conversions back to a specific ad | ~90 days |
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Our “Cookie Settings” control: use the link in the footer to review, change, or withdraw your consent at any time.
- Browser settings: most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies - Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
4.1 A third party that loads without setting a cookie
- The PayPal checkout. When you pay in US Dollars, PayPal's payment script is loaded on the checkout so the payment sheet can open. It loads only on a page where you are actually paying, never on ordinary browsing.
5. Third-Party Policies
The companies below set cookies or storage in your browser, and we do not control their privacy practices. They are a subset of the vendors who process data on our behalf - the complete list, including those that set nothing in your browser at all, is our Sub-processor list.
- Google Privacy Policy (Analytics)
- Microsoft Privacy Statement (Clarity)
- Sentry Privacy Policy
- Meta Privacy Policy (Facebook/Instagram Pixel)
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- PayPal Privacy Statement (USD checkout)
6. Changes & Re-consent
We will update the “Last Updated” date for any changes. If the policy materially changes, we will ask you to review your choices again.
