If you've never used Revquix before, here's the good news: you don't need an account to start. You can browse real, verified mentors right now, see their price and experience, and only create an account at the exact moment you're ready to actually book — not before. This guide walks through the whole path, end to end.
A Mock Interview is a live, one-on-one video session where a real mentor runs an actual interview round with you — DSA/coding, system design, low-level design, behavioral, or a domain-specific track — and gives you structured, written feedback afterward. It's a rehearsal with real stakes, not a casual chat.
Step 1 — Browse mentors, no account required
Go to Mentors Page on Revquix. You'll see real mentor cards immediately - name, headline, current company, years of experience, skills, rating, and price - with no login prompt blocking your view. Filter by category, skill, or price to narrow things down.
If you scroll far enough as a logged-out visitor, further results fade behind a short "create a free account" card - Revquix is upfront that a free account unlocks the full mentor list, search by name/company, and sorting by experience or availability. But that's a choice you make once you've already seen enough real mentors to know it's worth it, not a wall you hit on page load.
Step 2 — Pick a mentor and click "Book session"
Found someone whose background matches what you're prepping for? Click Book session on their card. A dialog opens asking which service you want - Mock Interview or Hourly Mentorship - shown side by side with a one-line description and the live price for each. If a mentor only offers one of the two, the dialog skips straight past the choice for you.
Not sure which service fits what you need? Mock Interview is for rehearsing a specific interview round with a score and feedback report. Hourly Mentorship is an open conversation for career questions with no fixed format - see the companion article on booking a 1:1 Career Mentorship if that's closer to what you're after.
Step 3 — This is the only point you're asked to sign in
If you're not logged in yet, this is the moment — not before. A short note in the dialog tells you plainly: "You'll sign in on the next step — your selection is saved." Create a free account or sign in, and you're taken straight to the booking page for the exact mentor and service you already picked. Nothing you chose is lost or has to be re-entered.
Step 4 — Pick your slot
On the booking page, you'll see a real calendar of the mentor's actual open availability — pick a date, then a specific time slot. Times are shown in your timezone automatically, with the mentor's timezone shown alongside for context, so there's no manual timezone math or confusing back-and-forth. Slot durations are shown directly next to each time — Mock Interview slots and Hourly Session slots aren't always the same length, so check the duration on the exact slot you're picking.
Step 5 — Pay, and you're confirmed
Checkout runs through Razorpay, with a coupon code field if a mentor has shared one with you. The moment payment succeeds, you get an instant confirmation with an auto-generated meeting link — no waiting for a manual confirmation email from anyone.

What actually happens in the session
Your mentor sees your intake details — target company, target role, experience level, and chosen focus areas — before the call starts, so the session isn't spent explaining background from scratch. The interview itself runs for the full duration of your booked slot. Afterward, you receive a structured, written feedback report you can revisit any time from your dashboard, and you'll be asked to rate your mentor within a short window after the session.
If something goes wrong
Mentor no-shows and missed feedback reports don't leave you stuck — they trigger an automatic dispute process, and a no-show by your mentor means you're not the one who loses the session or the money. You can track any open dispute directly from your dashboard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create an account just to see mentors and prices?
No - Mentors Page is browsable by anyone, with real mentor cards, ratings, and prices visible before you sign in.
At what point do I actually have to log in?
Only after you've picked a mentor and a service and clicked to book — your selection carries through the sign-in step automatically.
Can I choose which mentor interviews me?
Yes — you browse and pick a specific mentor by name, background, and rating; you're never randomly assigned one.
What if I don't know which mentor is right for me
Filter by category, skill, and price on /mentors, or use the general contact option if you want a hand narrowing it down.
What happens if my mentor doesn't show up?
An automatic dispute process covers no-shows — you don't lose your session or your payment.
How long before my session can I cancel for free?
Up to 24 hours before your scheduled slot.
