# Session packages

> Several sessions bought together - how the validity clock works, why it pauses, and what happens if the mentor stops offering slots.

A package is several sessions with one mentor, bought together at a lower price per session. You pay
once and redeem them one at a time.

## How redeeming works

1. **You buy the package.** The money moves now, once, for all the sessions.

2. **You book against it.** Each booking spends one credit from the package instead of taking a new
   payment. You still pick the slot from the mentor's availability in the ordinary way.

3. **The package runs until its credits are used or its validity ends** - whichever comes first.

## The validity clock, and why it can pause

Every package has an expiry date. It has one protection built in that is worth knowing about,
because it is the thing buyers most reasonably worry about:

> **Note** - A mentor cannot run your clock out by going quiet
>
> On any day the mentor offers **no bookable slots at all**, your expiry is pushed out by a day. You
> cannot lose validity to time you were never able to use.
>
> That is enforced by counting those days, not by asking either of you to remember them - which is
> what makes it a rule rather than an argument.

If a mentor's availability stays absent, the escalation continues on their side: a nudge, then a
pause on the service, and after a sustained absence **a pro-rata refund of the unused credits
becomes available to you without needing a dispute**.

## Cancelling a session you booked from a package

The credit goes back to the package under the same cancellation ladder that governs a paid session -
cancel early enough and it returns, cancel inside the final window and it is spent.

> **Warning** - The last step of the ladder returns nothing here either
>
> Inside the final window the credit is gone, exactly as the money would be on a single session. The
> mentor set the time aside either way.

## If something goes wrong with a package session

There is no card payment to reverse for a session you redeemed with a credit - the money moved when
you bought the package. So the remedies are about the session itself: the credit is returned, or the
session is rebooked at no cost.

## Refunding a whole package

A package refund is not a per-session decision, and it interacts with what you have already
