A no-show is not a cancellation. Nobody gave notice, the slot was held, and one side turned up for
nothing. It is settled on evidence rather than on assertion.

## What counts as turning up

Joining the Revquix Meet room through the join button on the booking. That hop is the record, which
is why the room has to be one we created - see [running a session](https://www.revquix.com/docs/mentors/running-a-session).

A join up to **15 minutes after the session's end time** still counts as attendance.

> **Note** - Late is not absent
>
> A mentor who joins four minutes late attended. There is a 15-minute grace before lateness is read as
> a no-show at all, because zero grace would refund more sessions wrongly than rightly.

## The 24-hour window

After the end time, the booking stays open for **24 hours**. In that window either of you can confirm
it happened or report that it did not. If neither does, it closes on its own and settles as
completed - silence means it happened, because that is what silence almost always means.

That window is in your **Pending action** tab. It is the only chance to report a problem without
opening a dispute.

## If the buyer does not turn up

You are paid. The slot was held, you were there, and the record shows it.

You do not need to do anything to make that happen - the session settles normally. Reporting it is
still worth doing, because it is what distinguishes "they did not come" from "neither of us did" if
it is ever questioned.

## If you do not turn up

The buyer is refunded in full, and it is recorded against your reliability score under attendance -
the heaviest factor, because a missed session cannot be given back.

> **Warning** - Buyer attended, mentor absent is no longer settled automatically in your favour
>
> There was a time when a session with a buyer join and no mentor join could still settle as delivered.
> It does not now. If the record shows they came and you did not, the money follows the record.

If something genuinely went wrong - an outage, a medical emergency - report it in the window and say
what happened. It is looked at by a person.

## If neither of you joined

Neither party is charged and neither is credited. It marks nobody's record, because the evidence does
not say whose fault it was.

## After the window

Once the 24 hours pass and the booking closes, a no-show is no longer something you report - it
becomes a dispute, and a dispute can be raised for **14 days** after the booking closes. See [disputes](https://www.revquix.com/docs/mentors/disputes).
