# Your profile

> One page that represents you across Revquix - how the editor and its live preview work, and what "live" actually means.

Your profile is the page other people see at `revquix.com/u/<your-username>`. It is what a mentor
reads before a session, what a visitor lands on from a shared link, and what search engines index.

## The editor

Editing is a room with a **live preview beside it**. Changes appear in the preview as you make them -
there is no separate "view profile" trip to check your work.

Two controls worth finding on day one:

- **Desktop / Mobile.** The preview switches between them. Most visitors arrive on a phone, and a
  headline that fits on a laptop can wrap badly there.
- **Edit / Preview.** On a narrow screen the two share the space, so this is how you see the whole
  page rather than a column of it.

## Nothing is a draft

Edits save as you make them, and the public page reflects them. There is no publish step and no
staging copy.

> If you are mid-rewrite of your headline, that half-written headline is what a visitor sees. For a

## Completeness

The editor tracks how complete your profile is and moves through named stages - **Getting started**,
**Coming together**, **Looking strong** - rather than showing a bare percentage.

It is guidance, not a gate. Nothing is locked behind a stage, and a short profile that says something
specific beats a complete one that says nothing. But the stages are ordered by what visitors
actually read first, so working down them is a reasonable use of an hour.

## What to do first

1. **Claim your username.** It is your public address and it has a cooldown - see [your username](https://www.revquix.com/docs/account/your-username).
2. **Headline and photo.** The two things visible before anyone scrolls.
3. **One real experience entry**, with a description that says what you did.
4. **Skills**, because they feed more than the profile.
