# Your account

Settings is separate from your profile. Your profile is what other people see; settings is how your
account behaves.

## Four groups

| Group            | Holds                                                               |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Account**      | Your details, and referrals                                         |
| **Security**     | Password, two-step verification, sessions, login history, your data |
| **Integrations** | GitHub                                                              |
| **Preferences**  | Currency, notifications, appearance, interests                      |

## Your details

Your name and the information that identifies your account. Changing your name changes it everywhere
including your public profile.

Your **username** is not here - it has its own panel on both the profile and settings, because

> **Note** - Email is how we reach you about money
>
> Booking confirmations, refunds, payout failures and security alerts all go to your account email.
> Keep it one you actually read - a payout that fails and an email nobody opens is how a problem gets
> weeks old.

## Integrations

GitHub is the one integration, and it is used by code projects rather than by your account
