# What is public

Your profile is a public web page. **If you want to know what strangers can see, or you want to
disappear from Google and search results**, this is the page - it says precisely what is exposed,
because that is the thing people most often assume and least often check.

## Visible to anyone, no account needed

Everything you put in a section that is turned on:

- Your **name, headline, photo, cover and location**
- **Experience and education**, with dates and descriptions
- **Skills**
- **Projects** you have added, and any code project you published
- **Services and reviews**, if you mentor
- **Posts** you have published
- Your **links**

## Not visible

- Your **email address and phone number**
- Your **login history, sessions and security settings**
- Anything in the dashboard
- **Draft or private** projects, and sections you have turned off

## Search engines index it

Profiles are submitted to search engines deliberately. A profile can appear in a Google result for
your name, and that is the intended behaviour rather than a leak.

## ⚠ AI crawlers are allowed, on purpose

The reasoning is that being findable by the tools people now use to search is worth more to a member
than being absent from them. But it is your page, and you should know rather than discover it.

**If that is not what you want**, the lever is what you publish, not a setting: turn off sections you
do not want read, or keep detail out of the profile entirely. [Discovery visibility](https://www.revquix.com/docs/account/profile-visibility) does **not** change
this - it controls Revquix's own search, not crawlers.

## Before you share it anywhere

1. **Open your own profile signed out**, or in a private window. That is what a stranger sees.
2. **Check every published project's files** - publishing shares the whole tree, not one file.
3. **Read your links.** A dead one is a bad signal; a personal one may reveal more than intended.
4. **Check the mobile view**, which is what most visitors get.

## Removing it

Turning every section off leaves a page with your name on it. To remove the profile entirely you
delete the account, which is in Settings under Privacy and Data, and is not reversible.
